Graduating in Physiotherapy in 2003, Marco specialized in the rehabilitation of orthopedic injuries and sport-related issues for athletes at all levels, from amateurs to professional. Since 2003 he has collaborated with medical teams of professional Clubs both nationally and internationally, working across hockey, volleyball and basketball.
From 205 to 2011 he was part of the staff of "MC Carnaghi Villacortese", a women's volleyball team competing in the first Italian League (A1). After winning three National Cups and reaching three League finals he moved to Azerbaijan for his first experience abroad. He became the Head Physiotherapist for "Rabita Baku" with which he won the National Championship and Cup in the same year, as well as achieving a second place in the European Champions League. The following two summers he also joined the staff of the Bulgarian Women's National Team.
From 2013 to 2023 he shifted from volleyball to men's basketball, taking on the role of Head of Physiotherapy and Performance at "Olimpia Milano", where he won six National League, four National Cups and four National SuperCups.
In 2023 he returned to women's volleyball and he is currently part of the staff of the "Incheon Heungkuk Life Pink Spiders" in South Korea.
