Muscle Activation

Equipment: Body Weight
Difficulty: Basic
Movement Pattern: Push

The Inchworm to Push-Up is a full-body activation exercise that combines dynamic mobility, trunk stability and upper-body control. The movement integrates a hand walk-out phase followed by a push-up, creating a coordinated challenge for the shoulders, core, upper limbs and posterior chain.

This exercise is commonly included in warm-up and activation routines to improve posterior chain mobility, enhance core activation and prepare the body for more demanding pushing movements. Due to its ability to simultaneously engage multiple muscle groups, it serves as an effective tool for improving movement quality and neuromuscular readiness prior to training.
