The Mini Loop Clam Glute Bridge is an activation exercise that combines hip extension from the traditional glute bridge with an abduction component performed against mini band resistance. This combination increases the activation of both the gluteus maximus and gluteus medius while enhancing pelvic stability and hip control.
The exercise is commonly included in activation and movement preparation routines to improve glute recruitment before more demanding exercises such as squats, lunges, sprinting and change-of-direction activities. The constant resistance provided by the mini band also helps improve lower-limb alignment and lumbopelvic stability throughout the movement.
