The Plate SL Halo is an integrated exercise that combines a circular loading pattern around the head with a single-leg stance. This setup increases neuromuscular demands and requires continuous interaction between the shoulder complex, trunk and lower extremity to maintain balance and control throughout the exercise. Within shoulder health and injury-prevention programs, halo variations are particularly valuable because they simultaneously challenge mobility and stability, two qualities that must coexist for efficient shoulder function. The addition of a single-leg stance further increases postural control and whole-body coordination demands, making the exercise especially useful for overhead athletes and multidirectional movement activities. Halo exercises are widely used to improve shoulder mobility, dynamic stability and trunk control.

Plate SL Halo
Losing balance during the movement. Excessively arching the lower back. Holding the plate too far away from the head. Shrugging the shoulders. Performing the movement too quickly. Losing scapular control during the rotation. Holding the breath throughout the exercise.
